📩 Day 1: When God Seems Silent
Key Verse: "The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still." — Exodus 14:14 (NIV)
Devotional Thought: There are times in life when heaven feels quiet. You pray, but no answer. You wait, but nothing moves. It’s easy to wonder: Has God forgotten me?
But silence doesn’t mean absence. In fact, some of God’s greatest work happens in the quiet.
When Joseph sat in prison, heaven was silent—but destiny was being formed. When Jesus lay in the tomb, the earth stood still—but resurrection was on the way.
God’s silence is not His rejection. It’s often His setup for something greater than you can imagine.
He is still working. Even when you can’t hear Him. Even when you don’t understand Him. Be still—and trust.
Reflection Questions:
Have I mistaken God’s silence for His absence?
How can I choose to trust God today, even without answers?
Prayer:
Father, in the silence, help me believe You are near. When I can’t trace Your hand, help me trust Your heart. Teach me to rest in Your timing and not rush ahead. You are still God, even when I cannot hear You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
